KGA Presents our 9th Annual Yellow Lounge: Like a Lotus, We Rise
Join us on Saturday, August 3rd, as we celebrate the lives, struggles, successes and resiliency of our community at KGA’s 9th annual Yellow Lounge showcase! The theme of this year’s Yellow Lounge is “Like a Lotus, We Rise,” a theme rooted in Khmer history and culture. The lotus flower grows in muddy water, planting its seed at the bottom of the pond. Its vine must grow, rising above the murky water until its flower can bloom in the sunlight. For Khmer Girls in Action, the lotus flower symbolizes our community’s strength and resilience. Through art, music, dance, poetry, and theater youth will share their stories and experiences living in Long Beach.
KGA will also launch our new look at Yellow Lounge! We will reveal a new logo, along with an updated brochure and website!
Yellow Lounge is a free community event with raffle prizes and food!
Doors Open at 3pm, Show Starts at 4:30pm
