Our Cultural Historical Arts Program seeks to use art as a tool to organize the community around issues that deeply impact people's lives. There are two ways to explore this:
3rd Eye Vision workshops (video/ media) and the other is Tongues Afire (writing/ spoken word) workshop. Whether through writing, drawing/ animation or using digital video and media, the CHA program seeks to develop young Southeast Asian women to
bring cultural, political and social justice awareness to members of KGA, members of the community impacted by Reproductive Justice and Immigrant Refugee Rights issues; and, allies too.
What this all means is that once members develop leadership skills and gain knowledge about themselves, culture and community they have a space to express what they learn and, of course, to have fun in creating the world they that they envision.
