Program Coordinator
Pronouns: He/ Him
Khody is a second-generation Cambodian-American, born and raised in Long Beach. He is an alumni of KGA and is now running the Young Men’s Empowerment Program.
As a youth member, he’s been a part of the Every Student Matters Campaign working directly around school climate and the Youth at the Core Campaign advocating for mental and emotional health on campus. This led to his passion of creating change in the community where it matters most and bringing in the voices that center young people’s stories so they can thrive and succeed.
Khody believes that by providing young people with the right support and tools needed, we can uplift them to advocate for themselves, families and the community. Young people have what it takes to create change through youth organizing and building people power.
Khody hopes to create a safe and open environment for young people to be their most authentic selves. Through building relationships and being a mentor to the young people he works with, he hopes to connect with them and inspire them to fight for social justice.
His motto: “Change happens when we can come together as one to seek the change we need in the community.”
