Leaders at Khmer Girls in Action are kicking off the new school year outreaching to Southeast Asian freshman and sophomore students attending LBUSD to apply to our Young Women & Young Men’s Empowerment Program!
After completing our year-long program, as well as SOI- Summer Organizing Institute, leaders like Felix feel empowered and are now looking to break the record for the number of people they recruit to apply!
Going back to school is a big deal for students and families transitioning to a new pace of responsibilities. Sustaining excitement and focus throughout the school year happens when students and our communities have the resources to stay healthy, connected, and engaged to learn inside and outside the classroom.

Southeast Asian Youth Leadership Program
Our Young Women/Men’s Empowerment Program (YWEP/ YMEP) is KGA’s introductory leadership program and a safe space for Southeast Asian youth to learn more about themselves, identity, culture and community.
