Thank you for building a strong and powerful community with us! With election season just around the corner, we wanted to remind you to register or update your voter registration information if you’ve moved, changed your name, turned 18, are system-impacted, or haven’t voted in a while.

This year, voters can make history and continue to pave the path for future victories by exercising our right to vote. This upcoming election, voters can:
- Elect new leaders to fill the role of City mayor, council members (in odd number districts), and school board members,
- Amend the California constitution to enshrine rights to abortions and contraceptives,
- Check the sheriff & LA County Sheriff Department on accountability and oversight
We are powerful when we come together to vote. However, did you know that in 2020, 1 in 4 residents didn’t register because they didn’t know how, were too busy, forgot or recently moved? And for younger unregistered voters between the age 18-24, that rate was at 42%!*
And, with research showing that Asian Americans are the fastest growing ethnic group in the U.S.**, we have the opportunity to continue building collective power! That’s why today, National Voter Registration Day, we are reminding you to check your status! Make sure to take time today to register or re-register to vote!
The vote is precious. It is the most powerful non-violent tool we have in a democratic society, and we must use it

Now Collecting Stories — Our Reproductive Rights Belong to Us!

We are excited to share that during this month of September, we are collecting stories to amplify the importance for reproductive health care access.
Through your stories, we will build narratives that normalize and de-stigmatize abortions and show that they are essential to the health, dignity, and self-determination of our leaders and community!
Deciding to keep or terminate a pregnancy is a personal choice that should not be shamed, feared, and worse– criminalized.
Yet, the rollback of Roe v. Wade has and will continue to threaten the lives of Black, Indigenous, and Asian communities, especially those living in poverty. Communities across the country are fighting back and so are we!
This Fall, Californians can amend the state constitution to enshrine legal rights to abortions and contraceptives. We will be reminding voters to take action and amplify our community’s stories that must be told!
Let’s win reproductive justice at the ballot box this Fall and shape a progressive political and narrative landscape to secure wins for the fights ahead!
