Chrissy is a 2nd generation Cambodian-American woman, Long Beach native, and KGA alumna. As the Operations and Finance Director, she oversees the financial management and operational efficiency of KGA.
Chrissy’s relationship with KGA began when she was a high school member, having experienced firsthand the profound impact of KGA’s mission in her leadership development. This inspired Chrissy to return as a staff member to ensure a vital and safe space like KGA will always exist for future generations and to work towards preserving a community for Cambodians in Long Beach, free of gentrification and displacement of families.
When not balancing spreadsheets or streamlining operations, Chrissy enjoys exploring her family’s history, cultural lineage, and journey to Long Beach—a personal narrative that deepens her connection to the community’s collective story and fuels her dedication to the transformative work happening at KGA. She finds joy in discovering new music that tells stories of cultural resilience and change, which allows her to connect with other people’s journeys and stories.
