Somalie is a second generation Cambodian-American raised in Long Beach, California. She is a graduate from California State University Dominguez Hills with a degree in Public Administration.
Somalie began her work with Khmer Girls in Action as a canvasser, then transitioned into the team lead for the Integrated Voters Engagement Program.
Through her involvement in civic engagement, she believes that the community holds the power to fight for systemic change. Somalie is passionate about advocating for social justice and mobilizing voters. She hopes to empower the community through voting and speaking up for those who don’t have a voice.
